Certified Manufacturing, Inc. (CMI) can provide engineering support including design evaluation and test. CMI routinely provides review of customer cable and harness designs and offers recommendations to enhance producibility. We use the latest in 3D Modeling tools to translate customer supplied Model Based Definintion (MBD) into 2D format to support production. We have the processes in place to accept customer supplied 3D models and ensure data integrity and configuration control thorughout the manufacturing process. Our Digital Process Definition (DPD) procedures have received the approval of The Boeing Company.
CMI can provide whatever level of test our customers require. For cables and harnesses we utilize a CableTest Model MPT 5000L Multi-Point Tester. With the MPT we are able to test a number of characteristics including continuity, discontinuity, insulation resistance (IR), inductance, and capacitance.
For Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and Electro-Mechanical Assemblies, when required, CMI will conduct testing in accordance with customer supplied Test Procedures. We have a full complement of standard electronics test equipment including signal sources, meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, etc.
