As the newer technology components and processes have evolved, CMI has continued to invest in equipment, personnel, and training to meet the changes. CMI assemblers are well trained and certified to J-STD-001 and IPC-610. Recently, CMI has invested in a suite of new equipment to enhance the fabrication and test of complex assemblies using some of the newer suface mount technology components, such as BGAs and FPGAs. Specifically, CMI has acquired a Metcal APR500DZ BGA Rework/Placement System, an APS Novastar LS60V Automated Pick & Place machine, a Glenbrook Technologies 80KVA X-ray inspection system, and a Mirtec MV-2HTL Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system.
